Baptiste is a trainee Office Manager at The Tiny Digital Factory. We’re going to find out more about him and his job. Part of his tasks are administrative and the day-to-day management of the company’s needs, but he’s also responsible for the company’s financial management (tracking and compiling invoices, analysis, payroll management).
Yes, I’m a Playstation gamer, I’ve had them all since I was a kid. I mainly play Warzone but also adventure games like the latest Star Wars or Assassin’s Creed games.
I was looking for a work-study placement for my 3rd year, and my school shared a number of offers. I was really interested because it was in the video game industry, which I’m passionate about, and I’d never had the opportunity to work in it. In the past I’ve had opportunities in restaurants, supermarkets, etc. I jumped at the chance, applied and also went straight to the office to hand in my CV.
The team must have liked me, because I had an interview straight away, and then the job!
No, I don’t! But I do listen to podcasts and talkshows. In general, they’re either discussions between streamers that I listen to on reruns, or react to anime that I know. If you speak French and you’re interested, check out the Popcorn show on Youtube and Twitch!
Hmm… I play (laughs). No, I actually go out quite regularly with friends and my girlfriend. The people around me always like to do different things and get out of the flat. So it’s pretty much 50/50.
My management/finance teacher was exceptional and very talented when I was doing my BTS at business school. What he manages to do and how he manages his income is my life goal. He taught us to develop our knowledge of finance, offering us his experience simply and without holding back, and he helped people in difficulty enormously when they were sitting exams.
Working in a company on a human scale allows you to do more varied and much more interesting tasks than in a big company. At TDF, I have the opportunity to attend all the meetings, with our accountants in particular, and I can see aspects of the business that other people with equivalent experience have never seen because they work in larger companies, which are more compartmentalised. This has given me skills that have enabled me to develop personally.
